The LIFETIME WARRANTY applies to the ENTIRE gearbox/motor assembly of the Stairlift - not just the gearbox. This is the heart of the entire unit. It is virtually the only moving part of the state-of-the-art ACORN Stairlift.

All other parts/components of the Stairlift assembly are covered by a comprehensive bumper-to-bumper warranty for a period of one (1) year from the date of receipt.

What the warranty covers

1. Lift Installed By ACORN Stairlift Pty Ltd

• All and any parts that are defective, because of faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of shipping of the goods.
• The stairlift motor and gearbox if defective, because of faulty manufacture for the period during which you own the stairlift.
• All call-out and labour costs required to repair the stairlift
• 1 annual service visit during the warranty period at a time to be determined by us

2. Supply Only Lift

• All and any parts that are defective, because of faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of shipping of the goods.
• The stairlift motor and gearbox if defective, because of faulty manufacture for the period during which you own the stairlift.

What the warranty does not cover

• Damage to parts caused by misuse or neglect of the equipment or accidental damage.
• Consumable items, namely the stairlift batteries and remote control batteries.
• Reasonable wear and tear
• Labour charges for lifts ordered on a supply only basis
• Damage caused in shipping (unless that damage is reported to ACORN Stairlifts Pty Ltd by telephone within 24 hours of receipt of the goods)

Warranty notes

• In no event will the warranty liability exceed the price paid for the product, from direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of the product or any accompanying documentation.
• ACORN Stairlifts Pty Ltd does not offer refunds for any product.
• ACORN Stairlifts Pty Ltd reserves the right to repair or replace equipment at its' discretion.
